Automotive Service Technology

Automotive Service Technology is a two-year CTE instructional program that prepares students for entry level employment positions in the automotive repair and service industry and/or entry into college level CTE programs. This class offers 2 Carnegie Unit electives per year and ASE industry certification. Potential students should have an interest in the Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics Career Pathways. 

Career and Technical Program Prerequisites

Automotive Service Technology - Year 1

C or higher in English (previous year) C or higher in Math (last course taken or specified by instructor)

TABE Reading Score (8th grade or higher)

Automotive Service Technology - Year 2

Pass Year 1 with average of 70 or higher

Adhere to JBD Attendance Policy

Score 50% or higher on CTE end of year test
